Wed. Oct 6th — Cleo Parker Robinson Dance
Join us for our first event at the Aurora Fox Theatre with Denver’s own Cleo Parker Robinson Dance. This international, cross-cultural, dance-arts and educational institution’s mission is rooted in African American traditions; dedicated to excellence in providing instruction, performances and community programs, for intergenerational students, artists and audiences. Thurs. Oct 21st — Omecuihuatl Rising *(Evening Show)
Omecihuatl Rising, explores the realm of womanhood and the Devine Feminine.
Asia Fajardo-Wright seeks to create intellectual and aesthetic dialogue about what it means to be a woman, and what the Devine Feminine is, initiated through a contemporary indigenous view-point. Through the intertwining of free-form movement and structure, the countless representations of the Devine Feminine and womanhood are explored though music and dance.
Wed. Nov 3rd —Dia de Los Muertos
This ancient indigenous holiday honoring the dearly beloved and departed has become a popular multi-cultural event throughout the Southwest United States. Chimatonalli Aztec Dancers and Asia Fajardo-Wright’s Omecihuatl Rising celebrate Dia de Los Muertos with special performances of dance and music featuring spirituals presented by Aurora’s very own, Grand Design Inc.
Wed. Dec 8th — JTOH Holiday Spectacular feat. El Centro Su Teatro
JTOH and El Centro Su Teatro present this event to commemorate the high schools and leadership that has brought this community together. This event will be showcasing the personalities and talents that make Metropolitan State College of Denver’s Journey Through Our Heritage program possible. El Centro Su Teatro, Denver’s historical and internationally known company will be accompanying the event with talents sure to inspire young viewers.
Wed. Jan 19 th —Martin Luther King Jr. Event
Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. with this show presented by the City of Aurora Community Relations Committee. This Cultural Legacy Series event will showcase first hand stories of leadership and courage in the face of adversity. It is our hope that these stories and presentations enlighten people from all ages and walks of life .
Wed. Feb 16th — Black History Month
The City of Aurora Community Relations Committee will be presenting a show dedicated to the African-American community through this production in the Cultural Legacy Series. This cultural experience will bring the audience to higher levels of appreciation for African –American culture and influence.
Wed. Mar 16th — Pow Wow Celebration
Join us this Pow Wow celebration with Denver’s own Seven Falls Dancers. This troupe represents four generations of dancers that have been dancing for over 25 years. Members of Pawnee, Flandreau, Cheyenne River Sioux, and Crow Creek Sioux tribes, the Seven Falls Dancers leaves the audience experiences they will remember.
Wed. April 20th — National Poetry Month
Molina Soleil and Aja (Soulaju) bring words to life for this celebration of National Poetry Month. These stories and messages of struggle and perseverance will inspire all ages, generations and walks of life.
Wed. May 4th — Cinco de Mayo feat. Fiesta Colorado (2 shows 11:30AM & 1:00 PM!)
With dance performances in the styles of Mexican Folkloric, Flamenco and Spanish Classical Dance, Fiesta Colorado has been in Colorado for over 30 years. Fiesta Colorado Dance Company and the Chimatonalli Aztec Dancers will be taking the stage for this exciting presentation of dance styles representing many cultures.
Thurs. May 5th — JTOH Cinco Celebration feat. Mono Verde* (Evening Show)
This final show of the season is dedicated to all the hard work and services of the Metropolitan State College of Denver’s Journey Though Our Heritage program and the High Schools they impact in the communities throughout the metropolitan area of Denver. Special guest Mono Verde bring a fusion of latin and reggae music that makes you want to do nothing but dance.

Wed. Sept 22nd — Hispanic Cultural Month
With dance performances in the styles of Mexican Folkloric, Flamenco and Spanish Classical Dance, Fiesta Colorado has been in Colorado for over 30 years. Fiesta Colorado Dance Company preserves the Hispanic dance arts with energetic and lively performances. For more information visit fiestacolorado.org.
Wed. Nov 3rd — Native American Month
To celebrate Native American Month, CCA is hosting Denver’s own Seven Falls Dancers who represent four generations of dancers that have been dancing for over 25 years. The Seven Falls Dancers will bring the spirit of their Native American tribes to the audience.
